This is the put in to Opal creek, it has some of the best scenery that I have been by on any kind of river, and the beauty doesn't stop there once you hit the canyon it is just plain gorgeous. From this parking lot you take about a mile hike down to the creek, passing over a side creek with a nice 15' waterfall on the left hand side. From what I have heard is that the creek has been run but you have to hike through the woods to run any of the creek and most people don't have quite that much ambition.

I didn't take my camera down on this trip so I don't have many pics, but the next time I run this the camera is coming with for sure. The rest of the creek is great it has pool drop class III-IV rapids the whole way with two exceptions, Big Fluffy and Big Ugly they are class V. Here is the very last drop on the creek, make sure you take out below this or you will be in a continuous class V canyon, so make sure you grab all the swimmers fairly quick.
