The approach up to Metlako is up a beautiful mossy green canyon and as you start hiking up you get three quarters of a mile into the hike, you start coming up on these canyon walls where all the river is just chasmed away into these hundred to two hundred foot beautiful canyon walls. Super Spiritual!
I had a safety crew that was willing to commit to rappelling in two hundred feet on a pretty sketchy situation and sit at the bottom and wait on me.
I sat at the top and meditated for about a half hour to forty-five minutes. I got into my boat, called out to my crew with my radio, tucked it away, popped on my spray skirt, and then boom, I was at the bottom in three seconds.
I still got a couple big waterfalls left in me. There’s no telling what I’ll do next!
